Under contract with Real Madrid until June 2025, Dani Carvajal could decide to return to where it all began.

Often, Real Madrid lend or give away their nuggets with a buyout clause, so that they will harden elsewhere before returning. This was the case with Dani Carvajal. Trained for the Madrid club, the right-back had to move to Germany, with a transfer to Bayer Leverkusen. There, it took him just a few months to establish himself as an indisputable starter, and Real Madrid got him back in 2013, with compensation of € 6.5m. Since then, he has somehow become a staple of the Merengue, with four Champions Leagues to his name.

Bayern Munich flirt with Carvajal

At 29, Dani Carvajal could well make his return to the Bundesliga. According to reports from El Nacional, the right-back is in the sights of Bayern Munich for next season. Since the return of Carlo Ancelotti, he no longer seems to be essential to Real Madrid and could therefore decide to give new impetus to his career, even if in Bavaria there would still be some doubts. Also according to El Nacional, the Bavarian leaders would likely be cooled by the physical fragility of Carvajal, who missed forty meetings with Real Madrid over the 2020/2021 season.
