Recruited by Real Madrid from OL for € 35m in the summer of 2009, Karim Benzema (33) has, over the years, succeeded in establishing himself as an indispensable part of the merengue club. However, at the start of his adventure in Spain, Benzema had regularly been singled out for his healthy lifestyle which affected his performances. Asked at the microphone of Canal + Tuesday evening, the French striker admits, however, that he had sworn never to leave Real Madrid as long as he had not become a great player. “In my head, until I succeed, that I do not become a great player, I will not leave . I was not doing enough indoor work. I didn't care what I ate. I had not realized that at Real, you should not be efficient only for the matches but also for everything that happened next (…) Me it came little by little. I became aware 3-4 years ago, at 30 ”, indicates Benzema .
