The Catalan club have reportedly reached an agreement with the 18-year-old winger and an extension is expected very soon. Barça would have always had clear ideas for the case of Ansu Fati. After formalizing the extension of Pedri , FC Barcelona would be very close to closing another big file. Joan Laporta would have found common ground with Ansu Fati around a contract until 2027. A release clause of 1 billion euros should be introduced for this new commitment which would be planned for this Thursday according to Sport information. FC Barcelona would always have had clear ideas about the Ansu Fati case. With the young Spanish winger's current contract running until June 2022, the Catalan club had an option to extend the 18-year-old for two more years as Sport explains. But FC Barcelona would never have intended to lift it, preferring directly to negotiate a new lease with a significant salary increase with the 18-year-old. The Catalan club would see in Ansu Fati a fundamental element for the next decade.
