Nichushkin faces four-year disqualification by WADA

Russian striker “Colorado” Valery Nichushkin passed a positive doping test for testosterone, according to “RIA Novosti”.

It is noted that the hockey player is threatened with disqualification for 4 years.

At the same time, the NHL does not take into account the decisions made by WADA and RUSADA, so that the career of a Russian in the overseas league may not be affected.

– Valery Nichushkin received a letter from the DFLF a few days ago. It follows from it that Grigory Rodchenkov, back in 2019, pointed to the doping test taken from Nichushkin before the Sochi Olympics as fake. The player was asked to admit it, then he would have received two years of disqualification instead of four, – said the source.

In the 2021/22 season, Nichushkin played one match, giving one assist.
