Windows 11 surpasses Windows 7 in popularity among Steam users

Windows 11 turned out to be more popular than the seventh version of the OS from Microsoft among Steam users at the end of November 2021. Statistics published on the official website of the Valve digital store.

According to this data, in November, the number of Steam users with Windows 11 installed on their PCs reached 8.61% of the total number of players, which is 6.73% more than in October. The same indicator for the 64-bit version of Windows 7 was 3.48% (previously 4.4%). The bulk of Steam users still use Windows 10 (86.73%), but their number fell by more than six percent in November.

Windows 11 was released on October 5th. To install the new OS from Microsoft, you need a 64-bit CPU with a frequency of 1 GHz or more, 4 GB of RAM and a graphics chip that supports DirectX 12.
