In recent weeks, Ronald Koeman 's situation seemed to be improving. Moreover, Joan Laporta took the floor to comfort his coach publicly and therefore calm the rumors around a possible departure from FC Barcelona . The defeat of this Sunday could however call everything into question! Koeman was indeed extensively shouted at by Camp Nou and had to fight his way through a furious crowd, which demanded his immediate dismissal. This Monday, speculation about his future resumed with more vigor, with the names of Andrea Pirlo and Xavi being again mentioned to replace him. However, it will not be easy for Joan Laporta to fire Ronald Koeman! According to reports from Calciomercato.com, there is a multimillion-dollar termination clause in the Dutchman's contract which currently prevents FC Barcelona from doing anything. A clause inserted by Josep Maria Bartomeu , predecessor of Laporta at the head of Barça, who had decided to engage Koeman during the summer of 2020 for him to revive a drifting club.
