According to Sport, FC Barcelona have been trying to place Samuel Umtiti on the market for many months. Nevertheless, the 28-year-old is reportedly not determined to leave Catalonia . The Frenchman would have placed his hopes in Xavi , but the latter, like Ronald Koeman , never used Umtiti . Therefore, Barça would like to lend the world champion, or even release him, but it all depends on the attitude of the defender. Thus, if Samuel Umtiti refuses to leave the club, Joan Laporta could decide to unilaterally terminate the Frenchman's contract at least next January.
