It now seems to be just a matter of hours before Xavi is appointed FC Barcelona coach. And the Spaniard’s return to Catalonia could bring some changes to Barca’s face.

The new cycle will really be able to start at FC Barcelona . While Joan Laporta did not choose Ronald Koeman as a coach, he will now be able to put whatever he wants on the blaugrana bench. Indeed, this Wednesday, following the new defeat of Barça, the Dutchman was dismissed from his functions, he who had however been confirmed in his functions a few days ago. The sanction has therefore fallen, Koeman is no longer the coach of FC Barcelona and now, the question is who will replace him, although he not too much of a suspense. While an interim coach could take over in a few games, then it’s Xavi who could disembark at Camp Nou and make a comeback in Catalonia. So far, the former Barça player has served on the bench of Al Sadd in Qatar and after having made his scales there, he is now expected in the coming days at his former club. Xavi will therefore have the mission of really launching the Joan Laporta project. And we are starting to see more clearly on this subject…

A revolution led by Xavi!

Under the leadership of Xavi , this could therefore change at FC Barcelona and this in different aspects. This could especially start from a tactical point of view as the Spaniard has shown Al Sadd that he can use different systems and some may well stick to the Barcelona game. It will then be necessary to get Barça players to adhere to this philosophy and Xavi would obviously already have some ideas in mind regarding the players he wants to use and that he also wants to sign. Indeed, according to information from Gerard Romero , he would especially like to bring a fast central defender and to meet this need, he would look to Sevilla FC , with a certain Jules Koundé . Another player who would appeal to the future coach of FC Barcelona : Raheem Sterling . Currently at Manchester City , the Briton is already in the side of the Blaugrana and this could therefore speed things up. Sterling could therefore come to strengthen the corridors, a sector of play which seems to be close to the heart of Xavi , who would particularly like to rely on Ansu Fati and also Ousmane Dembélé , which will therefore have to be extended, he who is currently at the end of his contract. And there are others who could welcome this arrival of Xavi , they are the young people of Barça, starting in particular with Riqui Puig , which clearly did not fit into the plans of Ronald Koeman .
