With the winter transfer window starting in just a few weeks, Xavi would have given FC Barcelona a specific name, but things are not going as planned.
Who could join up with Xavi this winter? The new FC Barcelona manager is in dire need of some positions and the recruitment of one or two players in January seems vital. Several names have been cited by the Catalan press, but two keep coming back. The first is Ferran Torres, currently at Manchester City and who in recent years have established themselves in the Spanish national team as an indisputable holder. The second is Dani Olmo , who after going into exile at Dinamo Zagreb then at RB Leipzig , could well return to his first love with the FC Barcelona.

His arrival this winter seems very complicated. According to information from AS, sources on the side of RB Leipzig would have ruled out any departure in the middle of the season, in particular because of the importance that Dani Olmo has in the squad of Jesse Marsch. The question is however different for next summer! These same sources explain that Leipzig would not be against a sale of Olmo to FC Barcelona , but would still like to achieve a small added value for a player bought 20M € in January 2020.
