Eager to downsize its workforce and get rid of certain unwanted elements during the next January transfer window, PSG would have placed Mauro Icardi on the transfer list.

After a relatively convincing first loan spell during the 2019-2020 season, Mauro Icardi (28) was definitely recruited by PSG the following summer for € 55 million after Leonardo had revised down the amount of the option to buy the Argentinian striker from Inter Milan due to the Covid context. But since then, Icardi has struggled to find his best performance under the jersey of PSG , and he is now a luxury understudy at the Parc des Princes, which would therefore have brought the Qatar to take a radical decision…

Icardi placed on the transfer list

Foot Mercato announces this Friday that Mauro Icardi would be part of the elements pushed towards the exit by the management of PSG for the transfer window of January. While he has been more talked about this season for his high-profile separation with Wanda Nara than for his sports performances, Icardi would like to return to Italy in order to get closer to his family, and Juventus would still be a plausible base for the former Inter scorer, whose current contract runs until June 2024 with the PSG .
