If PSG jumped at the opportunity to recruit Sergio Ramos this summer, the experience is far from conclusive so far. Should we then regret the choice of Leonardo?

In the summer of 2020, PSG let Thiago Silva go, at the end of his contract, without replacing him. A problem that Leonardo ended up solving during the last summer transfer window. The sporting director of PSG thus took advantage of a big market opportunity by going to look for Sergio Ramos , free following his departure from Real Madrid . Thanks to his experience, the Spaniard was thus a strong reinforcement for the squad of Mauricio Pochettino . However, so far Ramos could not bring all his aggressiveness to help PSG . Injured since his arrival, the former Madrid player is still trying to return to 100% of his physical capacity.

An operation that raises questions

Weeks go by and Sergio Ramos has still not played with PSG . In fact, there is still uncertainty over when the Spaniard will return. If the central defender continues his personal work to return to the top, the question is therefore to know when he will return to the field. In the meantime, his situation does not fail to challenge, to the point even that his future is at the heart of questions. Faced with this, it is therefore legitimate to ask the question of the usefulness of recruiting Ramos while this summer, the tracks Raphaël Varane and Kalidou Koulibaly were mentioned in particular.
