Composer Shoji Meguro, who worked on soundtracks for the Persona series and Shin Megami Tensei, has retired from Atlus Studios. Representatives of the company announced this in a press release on the official website.
Meguro will continue to work as a freelancer. However, he will continue to collaborate with the studio Atlus, where he worked for 26 years. In addition, the composer, with the support of Kodansha Game Creators' Lab, is working on his own indie game, which will be announced on November 6.
Earlier in October, Atlus made a second announcement to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Persona franchise. In partnership with Japanese board game maker Banso, the studio will release the Persona VS card game, which will be a crossover between Persona 3, 4, and 5.
