Russian tennis player Anastasia Potapova defeated French representative Caroline Garcia in the first round match of the WTA 500 category tournament in Czech Ostrava.
The match lasted 1 hour and 12 minutes and ended with a score of 6: 2, 7: 6 (8: 6). On account of the Russians – six innings right through and two double faults. The Frenchwoman made three aces and two mistakes on the serve.
Potapova will meet Petra Kvitova from the Czech Republic in the second round.
