Returnal received update 2.0 – with it manual saves appeared in the game

Housemarque has released an update 2.0 for Returnal. The release announcement was accompanied by a small trailer posted on the official PlayStation YouTube channel.

The main change was the ability to save the gameplay. It's not about a full-fledged save system, but about the ability to postpone progress until the next launch of the game. Thanks to this, users can pause the game and put the PS5 to sleep without fear of losing progress in the event of a background system update or Returnal. In addition, the developers added a photo mode with many settings – from global and local lighting to color filters and details of the heroine's costume.

Returnal was released on April 30th exclusively for PS5. On review aggregator Metacritic, the game received 86 out of 100 points from critics. Gamers put 7.3 out of 10. For the first time, the new patch became known on October 10: then the developers began testing a major update weighing 6 GB.
