The New York Rangers will retire former goalkeeper Henrik Lundqvist's number on 28 January.
It is noted that the equipment with the 30th number will be solemnly raised under the arches of the team's home arena. On January 28, the Rangers will play at home against Minnesota.
We will remind, the Swedish goalkeeper announced his retirement in August. He played for the New York team from 2005 to 2020.
Lundqvist is 39 years old, he is the world champion, as well as the gold medalist of the Olympics. In total, the goalkeeper has 1017 games in the NHL.
