Former FC Barcelona recruiter in Brazil, André Cury lets go of his truths about Neymar's transfer to Catalonia and reveals that Real Madrid offered a lot more.
Considered as the successor of Pelé in Brazil, Neymar waited for the right moment to leave Santos and join Europe. So in 2013, FC Barcelona managed this huge blow and secured the services of the Brazilian nugget. André Cury , then recruiter in Brazil for Barça , had a crucial role in this transfer, but he reveals that it is Neymar who made the difference in this case.
“Real Madrid offered 100M € more”
In an interview with Què T'hi Jugues, program broadcast on Cadena SER, André Cury reveals that Real Madrid offered much more than FC Barcelona for the recruitment of Neymar . “It was expensive to bring Neymar here. Neymar came out of love for this club. Under normal conditions, he would not have come. Real Madrid offered € 100 million more, ”he says.
