But Papus Camara, PSG U19 coach, is reassuring. Arrived at PSG in 2019 from La Masia, Xavi Simons was presented as a great hope on which the Parisian club had to rely for the future. And yet, nothing goes as planned. Indeed, the young Dutchman has had only one appearance with the professional team, last April against Strasbourg. A situation that would begin to worry him to such an extent that Xavi Simons would have asked to return to FC Barcelona while his contract at PSG ends next June. Discussions with Mino Raiola are indeed slow to lead to an agreement for an extension of contract. And yet, according to Papus Camara , Xavi Simons is not disturbed by the situation. “I don't think he's disturbed. He does his job. He comes every day with a smile, I do not feel a player disturbed by these questions ”, assures the coach of the U19 in remarks reported by RMC, after the victory of PSG in Youth League against Leipzig (3-0). Meeting during which Xavi Simons scored a goal and delivered two assists.
